Where to Submit and Apply for Grant Request?

How to request for grants, where do you submit and to what organizations must you submit your applications? Look for accredited organizations that process the grants you want to avail or you want to have yourself qualified. Submit an application form and a request why you prefer or need the selected grant and why it should be awarded to you?

The grant requests must include the contact details of the person or the organization, the amount or costs to be incurred, and the specific reasons where the grant money will be spent on once the grant has been approved.

Here is an example format of an application for a travel grant request.

You would like to request a travel grant from (the organization granting the request) Harvard Graduate School. Enclosed are the details and itineraries of the proposed trip. You declare to have read and understood the policy and instructions for requesting grants found on their website (include the website address).

Include your full name, the name of your supervisor, the dates you started taking Masters or Graduate Studies, for example.

Include the itineraries and other details of the trip, travel dates, dates and name of the events and conferences you wish to attend, the locations where the events or the conferences will take place including the city and country.

Indicate if you will you be giving a speech in the conferences that you will attend. Include the name of the publication that will cover the event, if any.

Give an estimate of the total costs and expenses needed for the trip. Examples of these are: miscellaneous fees, accommodation, travel fees, events and registration fees, and other allowances you need for food and transportation.

Indicate if there are others sources of funds and the total amount of the grant requested. Write a brief support statement coming from the supervisor or the organization requesting the grant.

Another example is a development grant requested by an organization.
Include the name of your organization, the name of the members, a brief description of the project and why you need development funds; how you used your grant and what problem are you trying to address, what are the things you will need to get it done, and who will benefit from it?

Prepare an outline of the activities that will take place including the locations, time, dates, and if any travel is needed to accomplish the project and the expenses that will be needed in developing the proposed project.
